Dropped by Purveyor Thursday at B-Side last week and got to watch The Strangeness, Slow Hello, Stomachine, Sans Saboteur, Glenn Coco, and Brooke McInerney perform. The night brought back memories of going to a show at least once a week in dingy halls/basements/venues as a teen in hopes of being one of the firsts to spot and discover the next best thing coming out of the scene. There were no awards, just the bragging rights to say “I saw them way back when they were playing little hole-in-the-wall joints”. All this background info is just to say that I’d like us all to support the local Filipino music scene like an awkward music obsessed teen with no social life, they deserve it.
