Let’s Get Cozy

Has this past holiday season got you all cold and gloomy?  If that is the case we have just the thing to bring some cheer into your life!  New Liberty Street hoodies you can nuzzle up in to feel so warm and cozy you might get flashbacks of your mama’s womb.

We decided to emblazon the “Fight the Fights that Matter” slogan from our Boxing Club T-shirt across the chest of our very first hoodies.  We have just fallen in love with the slogan and think that it is such a great reminder that in a world where so many quarrels are fueled by pride, selfishness, and hubris let us stop constantly obsessing about ourselves and start caring for other people for a change.  We need to choose our battles wisely and put the best of our efforts into things that are worth while.  Let us fight those things that oppress and degrade people.  And let us make sure that when we do pour the best of ourselves into things, they count.  So bundle up and fight those fights that matter.

The Fight the Fights that Matter hoodies come in black with white print and navy blue and yellow print and are 1,500 Php each.  Please contact us at [email protected] if you want to place an order.

Tuesday Night Art

Dropped by Finale Art File in Warehouse 17 last night for an art opening.  And I have to say it was an interesting experience.  It was great to see all the talent being displayed at the gallery.  And unfortunately, like my food blogging I really need to work on how I cover events.  The pictures are hazy and limited.  But I promise I will strive to do better next time.  But please drop by Finale Art File in Warehouse 17 at 2241 Pasong Tamo Extension to see the art of Nolet Soliven, Carlo Gabuco, and the complete installation by Lyle Buencamino (trust me you need to see it in person, my little picture of the paint/butter on toast below does not do it justice).

Liberty Street Tip #5: Take a Break

So if you have been reading our blog over the holiday season you would have noticed that I in fact take my own advice since I took a hiatus from blogging and spent sometime exploring this beautiful island country of mine.  But more importantly I believe that taking breaks allows people to stop and reflect on what has transpired in their lives as well as dwell on goals and desires for the future.  With that being said it always amazes me when I think about how Lawrence and I started out hauling shirts from Divisoria on the PNR (Philippine National Railroad) just to get our first wave of shirts started.  And it also really excites me to think about what we have planned for you all for 2013!  So I hope you all can sit back and enjoy watching what we are doing as we affect people’s lives together as a community!  2013 bring it on!
